About the event

On June 11, activist and author Tanner Evan Bergsma will stand before Hamilton’s General Issues Committee with one urgent demand: stop patching poverty — start dismantling it.

In a city facing rising displacement, inequality, and systemic neglect, Tanner will deliver a searing address rooted in lived experience and fierce advocacy. He will call on Hamilton leaders to take bold, structural action — not tomorrow, but now — to ensure that housing, healthcare, and dignity are no longer privileges for the few, but rights for all.

This is not a performance. It’s a reckoning. And your presence can’t be optional.

Stand with us in the chambers. Stand for those who have no choice but to fight to survive.
